Overview of fish plants in California this week
This week, California will see 28,000 pounds of trout distributed across 48 locations for fish planting. Notably, Mono County will receive the largest share with 5,500 pounds, followed by Shasta County with 3,500 pounds, and Inyo County with 2,500 pounds. These counties are among the key focal points for trout restocking in the state.

California’s Fish and Game Commission has approved the new recreational season structure for the groundfish/rockfish season and has officially cleared the OAL (California Office of Administrative Law), marking the 2024 season officially open.
