📈 Overview of fish plants in California this week

This week, California is expected to have 5,000 lbs of trout planted across 10 locations. The top counties receiving plants are Inyo with 2,000 lbs and Kern with 1,000 lbs of trout.

With the unannounced plants, last week saw a revised total of 14,600 lbs of trout across 25 locations. Expect more action this week as fish stocking continues across the state.

🐟 As for us, we’re back from the Smith River. It seems that Salmon season is in fact open around the estuary. No luck for us from the banks, but guides were returning with Chinook in the 30-40lb. range. Here’s a breakdown of the regulations we learned.
