7/10: The Delta West was active this week with striped bass scattered from Suisun Bay to Liberty Island. The best bites came during slower tides, with trollers near the West Bank catching and releasing plenty of legal fish. In the north Delta, largemouth bass were feeding near wood structures, with flipping and punching through grass proving effective.
The weather was mild with some wind, and while grass was a challenge, strategic moves kept the lines busy. A good day for anglers willing to adjust techniques with the conditions.
