7/10: The Feather River was a decent spot this week for steelhead. Salmon season is closed, but steelhead kept the lines tight, biting on worms and roe. The action wasn’t fast-paced, but a few solid catches made it worth the trip.
The weather was cool and overcast, setting a calm tone for the day. While not a banner outing, it was a good opportunity to test different rigs and enjoy the peaceful river atmosphere.
