8/10: The West Delta was a solid spot for striped bass this week. Trolling deep-diving plugs worked great, but bait fishing with anchovies and sardines stole the show. The fish were active, especially during the outgoing tide, making for a productive trip.
The weather was mild with clear skies, keeping conditions perfect for a day on the water. With steady bites and good results, it was a trip worth planning again soon.
